It's About Time!

Hey everyone!

I can't believe I'm actually starting this.

 For those of you who don't know me, I'm Stephanie (or Steph). I've toyed with starting a blog for a while now (even started and abandoned quite a few attempts over the years) but now I think the time is finally right.

A little about myself: I'm 23 years old; I moved back home after graduating college against popular opinion; I own and run my own business; If I could travel for the rest of my life I would; Oh and I consider chocolate to be a major food group.

While I was at university, I saw the massive gaps in the market for children's wear (which is what I specialized in throughout those years) and plus size. Recently, I've gotten to know so many incredible women in the Instagram sewing community who inspire me with their own makes and I constantly miss that feeling of making myself a garment (like my favorite lemon top at the left that the one and only Jennifer Hudson complimented by the way), being able to wear it out, and say "Oh yeah I made it," when someone compliments it and asks where I got it from. While I adore all of my Instagram sewing friends, I also noticed that there aren't nearly as many plus size makers and bloggers around and I want to help change that.

I'm starting this as a sort of journal to document my fashion life from making things for my friends, clients, and myself to bringing some perspective on the plus size fashion market. I also hope to inspire at least a couple of you into celebrating yourself, your talents, and your body as well as to try sewing and making things for yourself and/or others. Though I may not be able to post tons of makes for myself (what with taking care of a household, running an alterations and custom design business, costuming shows, and more) I also plan on posting plenty of other content including basic tutorials and tips and tricks that'll hopefully inspire you and help you to learn a new skill that comes in handy much more often than you realize.

I'm so excited for you guys to join me on this new journey and can't wait to get started!
