I feel like I’ve talked about this nonstop since January when I really committed to this and yet here I am 9 months later without having written about the plan for this satin label business so I figured it’s high time that I explain a little bit about this craziness that’s consumed my life for almost a whole year of planning! Since this is a pretty new thing for me, I simply ask that you have a little patience if I experience some growing pains. However, I’ll be sure to make it up as best I can! So, that said, I wanted to answer a few quick FAQs to kick things off and open the floor for any additional ones that might come in so make sure you leave a comment if you have any additional questions!
Why start this?
I’ve been partial to satin labels ever since I started sewing. While I absolutely love the woven labels out there from other companies like Kylie and the Machine and Intensely Distracted, I’ve still missed the printed labels I’ve grown so accustomed to with RTW clothing, especially texture-wise.
What are your goals with this business?
Since this is something I’ve wanted for years from the sewing community, I really want to work with my fellow sewists in creating products that they love and may not be able to find elsewhere. If anyone has a request for a label design, I’m happy to try and work something up!
Why the holographic bag?
With purchases from my shop, I wanted to come up with a reusable packaging option that customers can use over and over again, even storing their other labels! All labels per order (or nearly all depending on how many are ordered!) are hand-packaged in this pouch, reducing the number of bags used and collected by sewists.
Why aren’t the labels prefolded?
A number of reasons! First, it allows me to fill the bags with more labels at once. It gives sewists the freedom to apply the labels as they wish (i.e. looped, folded with a crease, even splitting double-sided labels up for extra labels!). It also help save on the cost of the labels, enabling me to provide these labels as low-cost and accessible as possible.
Wait. Why are there stickers?
I originally ordered them as a test to send to my testers but had so much positive feedback that I’m launching these as well (at least temporarily)! Just like the labels, if you have a request for a sewing or body positive-friendly sticker, make sure you let me know!
Why are they more expensive than (insert company here)?
Short answer: It’s a startup! Startups require higher costs (at least at first) to make sure we can recoup the money we pour into our businesses. I’m not sure how things are going to work out but I also have to pay the same fees and processing as other larger, more well-known companies and they’re typically higher costs as they’re smaller ordering quantities.

Any discounts?
I’ll be posting discounts here and there. First dibs and access (and some exclusive sales and discounts) will always be to my email list that you can subscribe to here. I also will post on Instagram and occasionally to TikTok!
Are you offering wholesale options?
As of now, not yet! However, as soon as that changes, I’ll be quick to announce it! If you have a shop in mind or you’re interested, I encourage you to send me an email and let me know so I can build up a list of possibilities if/when the time is right!
What about shipping?
All orders are shipped via USPS First Class Letter (Domestic or International) within 7 business days of ordering (it’s just me y’all!). This shipping option does not have tracking numbers so if you do not receive your order within 14 business days, please contact me.
In the event of a larger order, you may be contacted for additional shipping fees that have come to light. International customers are responsible for any additional customs fees, taxes, or duty charges that may occur.
We are not responsible for lost packages and encourage you to double check to make sure all shipping information is correct. Packages are shipped from Ohio, USA.
Do you take returns or exchanges?
Since I’m a small business of 1, unfortunately I’m unable to accept returns or exchanges. However, I want to thank you again for your support and hope that you love your product(s)!
